About Us
Our
interest lies in the field of education, training and
employment, access for disadvantaged and disability groups, and
health and social care. Inclusion is top of our agenda.
Research and development is as important as hands-on
facilitation, implementation and support of projects and
programmes.
Currently education, training
and health providers are finding it increasingly difficult to
meet the need for work of people with disabilities and/or from
disadvantaged groups. The raising of awareness of the employment
needs, the continually changing priorities in the purchasing of
education and training, and funding becoming increasingly
dependent on outcomes have all combined to promote the need to
look outside the mainstream delivery model. New and innovative
ways of delivering and funding services need to be found on a
local, national and international level and Learn Net supports
organisations in doing this.
We have two Partners who are
supported by a large network of Associates. One lead Partner has
a background in Education, and information systems. The other
lead Partner has extensive experience as a therapist working
with people with physical disability and mental ill health, and
in designing e-learning environments and methodologies.
Associates come with wide
ranging experiences in health and social care, technology,
business, education, training and employment.
The people we work with are
from Schools and centralised Education Services, Adult, Further
and Higher Education, Health Authorities and Trusts,
Professional Bodies, Private and Voluntary sector, Local and
Central Government and international bodies.
